You've crashed your precious helicopter, it'll never fly again. Monsters don't bother you, life without your Loach is worthless anyway.

Scenarios are chosen during character creation. Scenarios allow the player to choose their starting location as well as other challenging or interesting variables that determine how the beginning of the game plays.

This scenario costs -2 points (negatives add to the pool) and affects the skill points pool in multiple pool character creation. Only soldier, national_guard, specops, bio_soldier, bio_sniper, and no other professions are allowed. Starting locations can be chosen at the final description screen in character creation with / and include Helicopter crash site, and no other locations. Starting location for this scenario is mx_helicopter. Starting conditions are adjusted by HELI_CRASH, and no other flags.

Notes

  • A Loach is a nickname for the Hughes OH-6 Cayuse
  • Instead of starting in a normal evac shelter, you start near a Crash Site.
  • You will start off with injuries on your limbs, a moderate amount of pain, and sometimes you will be bleeding, causing further pain and damage.
  • In 0.C Cooper, Crash Sites are simply piles of metal wreckage that contained military gear.
  • By 0.D Danny and 0.E Ellison, Crash Sites are medium sized vehicle wreckages that not only contain the vehicle and military gear, but also mangled human corpses and sometimes plentiful zombie soldiers, bio-operators, and scientists, that make escaping without your wits and strength very difficult, especially combined with the fact you are already injured. Try and use your firearms in burst fire and collect ammo magazines from the dead soldiers, unloading them from guns that spawn from them if need be, and keep shooting them until there if room to get away, or kill them all.
  • Now for the injury, look around, it can be easier if you have nothing to attack you, but if there is spare clothing, use a knife to cut the clothing and use the rag to stop the bleeding, or as of 0.D Danny onwards, use the rags to make makeshift bandages to stop the bleeding and start healing your wounds... If your are lucky, the helicopter may have first aid supplies too, which heal you much easier.
  • The helicopter can start in either the countryside or a city.
