Inactive:

 A bottle of flammable liquid with a rag inserted. Use this item to light the rag; you will, of course, need a lighter in your inventory to do this. After lighting it, throw it to cause fires. 

Active:

 A bottle of flammable liquid with a flaming rag inserted. Throwing it will cause the bottle to break, spreading fire. The flame may go out shortly if you do not throw it. Dropping it while lit is not safe. 



Notes

Molotov cocktails can be crafted from an alcoholic beverage and a rag. When thrown (after being activated), it will create a 3x3 square of fire. If it is held for too long while active, it can explode in the player's hand.

Molotovs are very effective weapons. Most common enemies will die within one or two turns of standing in the fire. The fire creation can be a bit random in 0.D (Danny), with the explosive radius buff. Example of one thrown molotov at night

If a lit molotov isn't thrown within a few turns, it will go out.
